Google Accessibility – Chromebook and Chrome

Recorded: Thursday 27th November 2025

In this session CENMAC Advisory Teacher David Howard explores a range of accessibility features built into Google Chromebooks and the Google Chrome browser. He examines how both platforms can be adapted and customised to meet individual user needs and support access to learning.

He will begin by looking at the accessibility settings available directly on the Chromebook. Following that, he demonstrates how to modify the toolbars within Google Chrome to enhance usability. I will also recommend one or two Chrome extensions that I have found particularly helpful in supporting learners.
