Celebrating CENMAC at 50

On Friday 7 December 2018, CENMAC celebrated 50 years of Assistive Technology in education with our film A Voice for All. We celebrated the past, present and looked towards the future of Assistive Technology.

We were so pleased to have Youtuber Abdi Omar speak again about his Assistive Technology journey and how it has empowered him. Plus, several Charlton Park Academy students delivered the welcome and safety messages using their devices.

Also on the programme was:

  • Me, Dragon and Eye-Gaze, a short device review by Hicham from Charlton Park Academy. This film review was made in conjunction with Jim Hobbs and students from the School of Film and TV at Greenwich University.
  • Matt – 1000 Londoners, gave viewers an insight into his life as a disabled Londoner, as he rambles through the big city using his wheelchair and communication device.

Thank you to all who attended our celebratory event at the O2 and our films  A Voice for All and Me, Dragon and Eye-Gaze will soon be available on our website.
