Young People Help Shape the Future of Inclusive Learning
Changemakers Collective Collaborate with Vault Learning through co-production
At CENMAC, we believe that the best products, services and technologies are created with children and young people, not simply for them. That’s why co-production sits at the heart of the CENMAC Student Voice Programme.
Recently, members of the CENMAC Changemakers Collective, alongside students completing work experience with CENMAC, welcomed the team from Vault Learning for an exciting co-production workshop.
About Vault Learning
Vault Learning is developing The Vault, an innovative educational platform designed to make learning more engaging, interactive and inclusive for every child.
Listening to student feedback
Rather than simply demonstrating the platform, The Vault Learning team invited our students to experience it first-hand and provide honest feedback about what they enjoyed, what could be improved, and how the platform could become even more accessible for young people.
Throughout the session, students explored the platform, shared their ideas and discussed their experiences directly with the developers. The feedback was both thoughtful and inspiring.
One of our Changemakers, Lauris, summed up the experience perfectly saying
“It brings learning back to life because it makes learning fun and interactive.“
Refining The Vault to engage all learners
For the Vault Learning team, these conversations were invaluable. Following the workshop, Esther, Co-Founder of Vault Learning, said
“It was a great morning with very encouraging and invaluable feedback. Every insight helps us refine The Vault and move closer to our goal of creating engaging, inclusive learning experiences that work for every child.”
The workshop also highlighted the powerful impact that inclusive learning experiences can have on individual students.

Why involving young people is important
Moments like these demonstrate why involving young people throughout the development process is so important. When organisations work directly with the children and young people who will ultimately use their products, they gain insights that cannot be found through testing alone.
For our Changemakers, it was also an opportunity to see that their opinions genuinely matter. Rather than simply testing a product, they became active contributors to its future development, helping shape a platform that could benefit many other children and young people in the coming months and years ahead.
Student Voice Programme
This workshop is a fantastic example of what the CENMAC Student Voice Programme aims to achieve: creating meaningful opportunities for children and young people to influence real-world projects while building confidence, developing communication skills and demonstrating the value of lived experience.
As the programme continues to grow, CENMAC looks forward to working with more organisations, researchers and developers who recognise the importance of co-production and want to place young people’s voices at the heart of innovation.
