Tes SEND Show 2023 Highlights
Thank you to everyone who came and visited our stand at the Tes SEND Show Friday 13 and Saturday 14 October at the Business Design Centre, London.
Engaging with Technology
It’s a great opportunity for us to demonstrate how we support children and young people with a wide range of assistive technologies including iPads, laptops, robots, reader pens, AAC devices, apps and more.
It was lovely to see children engaging with some of the technology including our friendly Flamingo switch and QT Robot!
Spreading AAC Awareness
October being AAC awareness month meant it was also a great opportunity for our AAC Consultant Abdi Omar to show visitors first hand how he uses his Liberator device to support his communication and to display our new Top Tips for AAC Awareness posters that are free to download and make a great feature on classroom walls. Abdi always attracts a crowd!
Encouraging creativity with Michael Rosen
We enjoyed watching Michael Rosen in action as he spoke about all things poetry. So good to see him inspiring children and young people to write stories and poetry and giving teachers great advice on how to encourage their creativity.
Prize Draw Winner!
Well done to the winner of our Prize Draw, Laura O’Dowd at The Alton Primary School who won a selection of great books ‘I’m Only In It For The Parking’ by Lee Ridley, ‘Can You See Me?’ by Libby Scott and Rebecca Westcott and ‘How to Talk to Robots’ by Tabitha Goldstaub we hope you enjoy them!
We hope to see you there again next year!
