Sitting down with stand-up comedian Lee Ridley aka Lost Voice Guy

Student ambassador Khamani has been a big fan of stand-up comedian Lee Ridley (aka Lost Voice Guy) since he saw him perform on, and then win the 2018 series of Britain’s Got Talent. Khamani then saw Lee Ridley in person when he spoke at CENMAC’s annual Communication Works conference in 2019. So, it was very exciting for Khamani when he got to sit down with Lee Ridley recently to find out more about his life before comedy.

Feeling the benefits of assistive technology

Khamani was interested to find out about Lee’s education and his introduction to assistive technology to support his learning and communication. Lee told Khamani that he initially only saw the benefits of using his communication aid in social situations when he couldn’t rely on sign language.

I’m Only In It For The Parking

Khamani also asked Lee how he felt about having his first book published called ‘I’m Only In It For The Parking’ and Lee shared how writing was a passion from a young age and how writing a book had always been a dream.
